Whoever authored the article (linked below) from The Middle Ground News is clearly unnerved about the pressure being applied to improve education (and actually have those in the education field have a voice in what is happening) by Dallas Koehn, Rob Miller, and Rick Cobb. When someone gets upset about what I call squiggle cursing (what a load of $#*&) and voicing their opinions, you know that they can feel the ground slip out from under them.
They seemed to operate unchallenged for so long (they being those who feel they know best about how education should work in our state, and we should just accept it without question), and are now noticing what a force #oklaed is becoming. Getting an actual say isn’t what they want for any of us, so they decided a petty attack and ridiculous comparisons to others in education outside of our state who have lost their jobs for reasons unrelated to what these bloggers write about was warranted in their opinion. These education bloggers are encouraging parents and teachers to speak up about educational issues in our state, and sometimes get frustrated when they aren’t listened to or aren’t taken seriously. Go figure.
So if you haven’t read it yet (or would like to read it again), follow the link to the article below. Then read the responses from Koehn, Miller, and Cobb. Then read this post, which I feel describes the situation perfectly.
